Joe LeFevre

Joe LeFevre is a professional landscape and nature photographer from Upstate New York with over 35 years of experience. His work has received international recognition.

In 2017 Joe was a Highly Honored winner in the Windland Smith Rice international competition sponsored by Nature’s Best Photography. His video “The Adirondacks: An Autumn Odyssey” is currently playing in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. In 2014 Joe won the “Most Inspirational Moment” category in the Wilderness Forever contest sponsored by the Smithsonian and Nature’s Best Photography in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act. Joe’s work has appeared in Nature’s Best Photography, Outdoor Photographer, and Adirondack Life magazines and wall calendars, and numerous other publications. A popular teacher and convention speaker, Joe has captivated audiences at major photographic venues throughout the United States with his beautiful imagery and passion for teaching. He is a staff instructor at the Adirondack Photography Institute (, which offers photographic workshops throughout the spectacular Adirondack region of Upstate New York.
