The Outer Banks of North Carolina may be best known as a summer vacation beach destination, but it is a location that should be on every nature and wildlife photographer’s bucket list.

As a professional nature and wildlife photographer, I selected the Outer Banks of NC as my home base because of the amazing diversity and abundance of photographic opportunities in this region … that are available all year-round. This premier photographic destination offers amazing landscape photo opportunities (amazing sunrises/sunsets, seascapes, lighthouses, fishing piers, dunes, etc.) and spectacular wildlife.

The Outer Banks is a year-round birding destination that is highlighted by massive flocks of wintering ducks, geese and swans. The region is also home to the highest concentration of black bears in North America and wild horses roaming the northern beaches. Only a short drive from the Washington, DC area, the Outer Banks should be on your photo list. This presentation will give you a glimpse into all the Outer Banks has to offer and also provide you with some tips to improve your nature and wildlife photography.
